Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of StokData (the "Service"), provided by Fair Supports Pty Ltd (ABN 85 677 767 761), an Australian company, trading as StokData / StokData Africa ("StokData", "we", "us"). By creating an account or subscribing to StokData, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
StokData provides farm/livestock management tools, including livestock and poultry tracking, worker and payroll management, inventory, sales, task management, and reporting, accessible via stokdata.africa and the StokData app.
We're also developing additional features, including an AI-assisted disease-detection tool with voice/dialect input support. These aren't available yet — we'll update these Terms with feature-specific terms (including any AI-generated-content disclaimers) before launching them, and will notify active subscribers of the change.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.
- You're responsible for all activity under your account, including actions by any staff you invite to use it.
- If you sign up on behalf of a farm, cooperative, or business, you confirm you have the authority to do so.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our payment processor.
- New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial; a valid card is required upfront, and your subscription automatically converts to a paid, auto-renewing monthly plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel first.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you won't be charged again after that.
- We'll give you reasonable advance notice before any price change takes effect on your next renewal.
4. Acceptance of Terms and Privacy Policy
By completing signup and entering payment details, you confirm you have read and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- Enter false livestock, health, or business records with intent to defraud a third party (for example, a buyer or lender relying on StokData records)
- Access another farm/business's account or data without authorisation
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our written agreement
- Use the Service in a way that breaches applicable law
6. Your data
- You own the farm, livestock, worker, and business data you enter into StokData ("Customer Data").
- We may use de-identified, aggregated data to improve the Service.
- On cancellation, you may export Customer Data for a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted subject to any legal retention requirements.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and may suspend it for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those that cannot be lawfully excluded.
- Our aggregate liability arising from or related to the Service is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of livestock, profits, or data.
8A. Vet Directory
StokData allows veterinary professionals to create a profile on the platform. Profiles marked 'Verified' have had their registration details confirmed by StokData against the relevant national veterinary council's register as of the date shown. Profiles without this marking are self-reported by the professional and have not been confirmed by StokData. In either case, inclusion in the directory does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any professional's qualifications, availability, or quality of service. You are responsible for independently confirming any professional's current registration and suitability before engaging their services, particularly where a profile is not marked 'Verified.' Any placement, ordering, or featuring of a listing, including paid or sponsored placement where applicable, does not indicate StokData's endorsement of that professional over any other.
8B. AI Health Check Feature
8B.1 AI Health Check uses artificial intelligence to analyze a photo, description, and/or voice note you provide about an animal, and returns possible signs that may warrant further attention. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease or condition.
8B.2 AI Health Check is not a substitute for examination, diagnosis, or treatment by a licensed veterinarian. You should not rely on AI Health Check as the sole basis for any treatment, culling, quarantine, or sale decision regarding an animal.
8B.3 If AI Health Check output, or your own observation, suggests a notifiable or highly contagious disease, you must contact a licensed veterinarian or the relevant animal health authority immediately, regardless of the AI Health Check result.
8B.4 You may flag any AI Health Check result you believe is inaccurate using the in-app "get a second opinion" function. Flagging a result does not guarantee review by a licensed veterinarian.
8B.5 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fair Supports Pty Ltd disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, or harm arising from reliance on AI Health Check output, including but not limited to losses arising from incorrect, incomplete, or delayed identification of an animal health condition.
8B.6 AI Health Check accuracy is limited by the quality and completeness of the information you provide (description detail) and by the inherent limitations of AI-based analysis. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inapplicable to your animal's specific circumstances.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or unlawful use, with notice where reasonably possible.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We'll notify active subscribers of material changes.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia. This applies regardless of where you access the Service from.
